Voting Closed

After a staggering 22.7 thousand votes over 10 days, we can confirm voting for this years awards is now closed.

We would love to thank everyone who participated and supported the awards.

Winners will be announced on Friday 8th March live from The Garage in Glasgow, tickets are available here for £10. On the night we have performances from The Ok Social Club, Vigo Thieves, and Roman Nose. The event will be hosted from MC and stand up comedian Billy Kirkwood, whilst other guests include Vic Galloway, Ally McCrae, Jim Gellatly and a selection of ICW Wrestlers. Will we have some surprises in store?

Nomination Announcements!

So after weeks of holding back we can now release the nominees for 2013, starting tonight. Our regional music judges put a huge effort into scouting the top acts to represent all regions of the country in their respective genres.

Founder / Creative Director of SAMAs Richy Muirhead comments, “I am thrilled with the short list of acts for 2013′s awards. I think this is a great opportunity for new and old music fans to hear an eclectic bill of artists from all over Scotland. Its an exciting time for the SAMAs going into year 4, the music scene here is very much alive!”

We can now finally reveal that previous nominees, THE LITTLE KICKS, TeKLO, & ALAN MCKIM will be performing our Official Launch Party on Thrusday 7th February at Bar Bloc. As always we aim to deliver an eclectic bill of live music, this time is no different…expect some acoustic followed by some indie guitars, and then it could get progressively louder, darker, and electronic towards late.
